AI-Generated Graphic Novel?
This is a graphic novel I was tasked with creating for the Plum Lake environmental science research project under the National Institute of Health (NIH). One of the primary challenges I encountered was maintaining character likeness throughout the story. Overcoming the hurdle later became my dissertation topic, which will document my thought process, the various tools I used, how my system evolved over time, and other production considerations. Ideally, this novel and the production system I've developed can be applied to other STEM subjects across various grade levels. This approach serves as an alternative to "traditional" learning methods, granting instructors, who otherwise couldn't afford such an expenditure the means to create their own educational media. While this AI-generated novel approach serves as a solid base, it does not compete with human-made art creatively or pedagogically, and should only be used when human-produced novels aren't feasible.
